What Comes From the Ground

was a solo exhibition presented in Tomelilla, Sweden in June 2019. It was the final show of The Sten Malquist Grant 2019 Artist Residency— a six-week project that included natural dyeing, weaving, learning of Swedish traditional textile techniques, storytelling and meaningful engagements with local residents, and workshops for youth and adults.

Out of 200 applicants and 26 countries, Miriam was chosen.
